The QMG Birth Cen­ter — the first of its kind in our com­mu­ni­ty – makes its arrival on Decem­ber 8. The Birth Cen­ter pro­vides a sup­port­ive, home-like envi­ron­ment where cer­ti­fied nurse mid­wives deliv­er com­pre­hen­sive ser­vices for women at every stage, rang­ing from gyne­co­log­ic ser­vices to pre­na­tal, birth, and post­par­tum care.

Pen­ny Buen­ing brings a life­time of small-town val­ues to her work as a nurse prac­ti­tion­er in Can­ton and Lewis­town. Her jour­ney from agri­cul­ture to nurs­ing, along with the influ­ence of her family’s his­to­ry in rur­al med­i­cine, guides her com­mit­ment to com­pas­sion­ate, rela­tion­ship-cen­tered care.

Army Chap­lain and Licensed Clin­i­cal Pro­fes­sion­al Coun­selor Steve Guziec has ded­i­cat­ed his life to ser­vice — first in uni­form, and now through his work at Quin­cy Med­ical Group. Draw­ing from his mil­i­tary expe­ri­ences, Steve helps vet­er­ans nav­i­gate the chal­lenges of life after ser­vice with com­pas­sion and under­stand­ing. His sto­ry is one of faith, resilience, and the last­ing bond shared among those who serve.
