Dur­ing Nation­al Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er Week, we cel­e­brate the ded­i­cat­ed health­care pro­fes­sion­als at QMG, where we are for­tu­nate to have 38 nurse prac­ti­tion­ers car­ing for patients in the region. Among them is Heather Todd, FNP‑C, who has been with QMG since 2016.

Melis­sa Lenderman‘s path into med­i­cine began with a child­hood dream and has devel­oped into a 36-year career.

Maria Sparrow’s bat­tle against breast can­cer began with a chance dis­cov­ery of a lump while relax­ing at home one June evening. The tim­ing was fate­ful as she had a rou­tine appoint­ment with her obstetrician/​gynecologist the fol­low­ing day.

This year, Mar­shall Wood­side and his fam­i­ly dis­cov­ered the impor­tance of con­nec­tions and the pow­er of com­mu­ni­ty support.

Susie Buck­ley, a patient access rep­re­sen­ta­tive, has been an inte­gral part of our clin­ic for over three decades. Through­out the years, she’s tak­en on var­i­ous roles and embraced new respon­si­bil­i­ties, all while fos­ter­ing a pro­found sense of fam­i­ly with­in the clin­ic and the community.

For Women’s Equal­i­ty Day, we’re rec­og­niz­ing the incred­i­ble work of Syd­ney Mey­er, one of our behav­ioral health inter­ven­tion­ists at Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG). Her desire to help oth­ers doesn’t stop with­in the walls of our clin­ic, but con­tin­ues through her non­prof­it orga­ni­za­tion, Giv­ing Grace.

After a long career in con­struc­tion, nav­i­gat­ing ditch­es and endur­ing long days on his feet, Ter­ry Schieferdecker’s knees had paid the price. After retir­ing in 2009, the dis­com­fort con­tin­ued, pro­gres­sive­ly wors­en­ing, tak­ing him away from his hob­bies includ­ing his love for motorcycles.

Dr. Chris­t­ian Zwick and Glen­da Lewis, LPN, both in Vas­cu­lar Surgery, are the recip­i­ents of Quin­cy Med­ical Group’s Unpar­al­leled Care Award. They were nom­i­nat­ed by their patient, There­sa Mast, who shared her jour­ney when a rou­tine mam­mo­gram result­ed in a breast can­cer diagnosis.

In recent years, men­tal health has become a grow­ing con­cern among stu­dents through­out the world, includ­ing in our local com­mu­ni­ties. With a focus to help stu­dents thrive, Clar­i­ty Health­care and Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) came togeth­er with local schools to cre­ate Thriv­ing Minds.

Dr. Daniel Rig­gs, oral sur­geon with Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG), is father to four sons, or the ​“band of broth­ers” as he calls them. Rais­ing them and see­ing them suc­ceed is his great­est achieve­ment. His sons cred­it him for where they are today.
