I enjoy Fam­i­ly Med­i­cine because of the vari­ety of patients and dis­ease process­es I am able to see and treat. I rely upon my spe­cial­ist col­leagues for needs that are out­side of my scope of prac­tice, but enjoy being the front line of a patien­t’s health needs. I am an out­pa­tient fam­i­ly med­i­cine physi­cian with my inpa­tient col­leagues car­ing for my patients if they need hos­pi­tal care.

I enjoy spend­ing time with my fam­i­ly. Our two sons keep us busy with all of their activities.

"Dr Asbury and her nurse are TOP NOTCH!!! Not just the care to myself, but to my Mother. She had went to 2 other physicians in a specialist role at Barnes and neither physician took her wounds into consideration. All I had to do was contact Dr Asbury and she worked her in at the wound clinic and her wounds are finally starting to heal. Her wounds have been since JUNE!!!"

"The physician gave a steroid rather than a painkiller based on a snap decision that because I had some specific allergies to one kind of painkiller, a steroid would be better rather than asking what painkillers might be used, and what medications had been used successfully in the past. With urging, some X-Rays were ordered. But the repeated insistence was that the physician couldn't really help, that I should make an appointment with my regular doctor (who was unavailable), that she is not a specialist, and so on framed a rather useless visit with an actual physician."
