Bridge the Gap 2025: Road Closures

On Sat­ur­day, May 10, Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) Foun­da­tion will host the annu­al Bridge the Gap to Health Race. Safe­ty is a top pri­or­i­ty for the event. To ensure the safe­ty of par­tic­i­pants, spec­ta­tors, and vol­un­teers, the fol­low­ing streets will be closed or reduced to one lane.

Streets closed from 4:00 am to 11:30 am:

  • Front Street from Jer­sey to Broadway 
  • Bonansin­ga from Cedar to Broadway
  • 2nd Street from Maine to Cedar
  • Broad­way from 3rd to Bonansinga
  • Ver­mont from 3rd to Front Street
  • Hamp­shire from 3rd to Front Street
  • Cedar Street from 3rd Street to Bonansin­ga Drive
  • Bonansin­ga Dri­ve from Cedar to Kochs Lane

Streets closed from 6:00 am to 9:00 am:

  • South lane of the Bayview Bridge

  • North lane of the Memo­r­i­al Bridge

  • North lanes of Maine from the Memo­r­i­al Bridge to 4th Street

  • Maine Street from 3rd to 18th Street **

  • Hamp­shire from 3rd Street to 5th Street

  • 5th Street between Maine and Hampshire

  • 3rd Street between Broad­way and Maine (6:30 am – 9:00 am) **

  • 4th Street between Broad­way and Maine (6:30 am — 9:00 am) **

**PLEASE NOTE: Please note that these clo­sures may impact trav­el more sig­nif­i­cant­ly. Motorists will need to use 18th Street or a route fur­ther east to cross Maine Street. South­bound traf­fic on 3rd Street from Broad­way will be direct­ed across the Bayview Bridge and then back via the Memo­r­i­al Bridge. North­bound traf­fic on Gard­ner Express­way will be divert­ed at Jef­fer­son Street to 18th Street.

Addi­tion­al­ly, these routes are marked as no park­ing zones from 3 a.m. until the race concludes. 

In the case of inclement weath­er, Bridge the Gap to Health Com­mit­tee mem­bers will work close­ly with the Adams Coun­ty Emer­gency Man­age­ment Agency to deter­mine the best option for par­tic­i­pant and vol­un­teer safety.
