Quincy Medical Group Invites Men of All Ages to "Man Up" for Their Health

Quin­cy Med­ical Group (QMG) invites men of all ages to take charge of their health at the 5^th annu­al Man Up event. This free com­mu­ni­ty event, ded­i­cat­ed to empow­er­ing men to make their health a pri­or­i­ty, will be held on Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 6, from 10 am to 12:30 pm at South Park in Quin­cy.

Man Up pro­vides an oppor­tu­ni­ty for men to con­nect with health­care pro­fes­sion­als, receive expert advice, and take proac­tive steps toward a health­i­er lifestyle. QMG providers spe­cial­iz­ing in der­ma­tol­ogy, ENT, gas­troen­terol­o­gy, obe­si­ty med­i­cine, ortho­pe­dics, pri­ma­ry care, sleep dis­or­ders, and urol­o­gy will be on-site to answer ques­tions and pro­vide guidance.

Atten­dees can take advan­tage of free health screen­ings, including:

• Lab tests for prostate can­cer, high cho­les­terol, and diabetes

• EKG heart screenings

• Blood pres­sure checks

Men who vis­it at least six health sta­tions will receive a com­pli­men­ta­ry meal from Butch­er Block as a thank-you for their participation.

Trans­porta­tion will be avail­able thanks to a part­ner­ship with Bel­la Ease. Pick-up is at Bel­la Ease locat­ed at 707 Broad­way in Quin­cy at 9:45 am.

With free screen­ings and guid­ance from QMG providers, we make it eas­i­er for men to take those impor­tant first steps toward pre­ven­tion, ear­ly detec­tion, and over­all well-being,” said Dr. Imran Shaikh, an Inter­nal Med­i­cine physi­cian at QMG.
